Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua has said Kenyans should reject attempts by Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto to vie for the presidency.
Ms Karua said Kenyans should not elect the two, who are facing crimes against humanity charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC)
“Who on earth would even hire a shamba boy facing a criminal charge due to the time such a suspect would spend attending court at the expense of his core business,” wondered Karua.
Pending cases
Speaking at Difatha’s market in Kirinyaga County, Karua asked Kenyans to lock out the two out of State House over their pending cases.
“The two aspirants are facing serious criminal charges at the ICC yet they think they can get elected to the position of the next Head of State. I’m sorry they have to exit the presidential race for those with clean records,” she said.
Karua wondered why the two suspects were in a hurry to ascend to the highest seat in the land instead of waiting until their names are cleared by The Hague court.
She also accused the Coalition Government of abetting corruption through retention of officers implicated in the vice.
