ESTHER PASSARIS DAUGHTER LOUNCHES MUSIC CAREER.. hiphop star

Why Esther Passari's 16 yr old Daughter is Making Headlines

Passari's teenage daughter launches music career.

If you still haven't heard, there is a new girl in town, and she means business. Her name is Makenna and she's a daughter to the famous Esther Passaris. For the past few days, Makenna has been hitting headlines for all the musical reasons.

The lady is still a teenager, 16 yrs to be exact, and she's already doing it big, never mind that she launched her music career on Monday last week. Not many artistes get good coverage a few days into their careers, but Makenna is not any other artiste.
Based in the UK, Makenna discovered her passion for music in October last year and has since recorded several songs and videos. She wants to be the first Kenyan to win a Grammy.

Her entry into the music scene was well choreographed, and this may be partly attributed to her mum's influence. On Sunday, she was among the artistes lined up to perform during Akon's family concert. According to her, Akon asked her to perform and she said yes. On her Facebook fan page, she wrote, "Just met Akon, he's so cool! He asked me to perform tomorrow during the family show and I said YES!!! :)".
That was followed by, "This week has been nothing but spectacular, and I thank each and everyone of my family, friends and fans for all the support and words of encouragement. My biggest highlight was meeting one of my favortie artist, Akon, yesterday.I also met Akon's Tour Manager (a really nice gentleman ) who understood my desire to work with and be signed by Konvict Musik. He suggested I perform three songs at the Akon Family Concert today at 3pm, at the Carnivore Grounds. If you can, please come and watch as I make my stage debut. Wish me luck. Cheers!"

Not sure if Akon knew that it would be the first time Makenna stepped on a stage to perform. On Sunday, she posted this on her account, "About to go on stage for my first live performance at the Akon family concert. The crowd looks anxious with anticipation.I hope I survive this and learn from the experience :-) Wish me luck! Cheers."

Esther Passaris was in the meantime dishing out Akon's Sh 2500 concert tickets to random Facebook fans of Makenna. She gave out 10 for the Saturday concert and another 10 for the Sunday one. On her Facebook page, she wrote,"I shall give 10 random fans who like her page tickets to the Akon concert tonight and 10 for the family show on tomorrow. These 20 fans will also receive an autographed copy of her Album CD in January, 2013."

WHAT IF OUR PRESIDENT IS WANTED BY ICC?

Apoclyptic implications of having a president who is an ICC suspect

As elections approach, Kenyans will need to decide whether they will vote using their heads or their hearts, particularly in relation to the bids of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr William Ruto, both of whom have been indicted by the International Criminal Court over crimes committed before and after the last election in 2007.
Regardless of whether Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto are innocent, and notwithstanding their support in their ethnic strongholds, we as a nation have to soberly and rationally consider what an Uhuru or Ruto presidency will mean for Kenya.
As Kofi Annan, the African Union envoy who mediated the 2008 peace deal, said recently, if an ICC suspect assumes the presidency in the next election, the consequences for Kenya could be disastrous politically and economically. Here’s why:
1. Kenya could be labelled a pariah state by the international community. This will mean that donors will withdraw their moral and financial support to Kenya. Donor-funded long- and medium-term plans and projects, such as Vision 2030, will be shelved. Poverty levels will rise. Economic growth rates will decline. Kenya will not attain middle income status by 2030.
2. Western nations may impose a trade embargo on Kenya. The African Union, which backed the peace process, may press upon its members to impose sanctions on Kenya. Kenya’s coveted membership in the East African Community might also be threatened.
Domestic revenues may see Kenya through, but without trading partners, revenue from exports will fall, leading to further hardships. Just ask the Cubans what the 50-year US trade embargo has done to their economy and you will see why this scenario is not desirable.
3. The United Nations may pull out of Kenya and set up base in a neighbouring country, thereby severely affecting the local economy. Revenue gained from UN conferences, contracts and projects will disappear. If the UN leaves, Kenya will lose millions of dollars that pass through the country’s banks. Nairobi’s housing and retail markets that cater for UN staff will collapse.
4. Like Zimbabweans under Robert Mugabe, Kenyans will start seeking refuge and jobs in neighbouring countries. Kenya will be viewed as a failed state like Somalia, generating the large numbers of refugees and IDPs.
Western countries will start to impose harsher travel restrictions on Kenyans. Middle and upper class Kenyans who can afford to travel and send their children abroad for further studies may be particularly affected.
5. If Uhuru and Ruto do not appear at their own trials, they will not be able to represent Kenya at international forums. Their travel will be restricted to countries that promise not to hand them over to the ICC.
They, in turn, may decide to follow the path of isolationism by breaking all international agreements that Kenya is signatory to. 6. If Ruto and Uhuru attend their trials, and even if they are found innocent, they will have to spend a considerable amount of their time at The Hague.
Kenya will suffer from an absentee leadership. Anarchy might ensue. Regional warlords may take advantage of the situation and break up the country into fiefdoms. Jealous neighbours may also use the leadership vacuum to gain economic and political supremacy in the region.
7. If found guilty, Uhuru and Ruto will face a Nixonian moment: resign or be impeached by the National Assembly,” says Tom Maliti of the ICC Kenya Monitor blog. “At the ICC level, the men will go into detention as the court searches for a country to hold them in prison for the duration of whatever sentence is handed down.”
Like most Kenyans, I wish we didn’t have to consider these scenarios. But we do, unfortunately, because we stand to lose everything we have worked for in the last 50 years if we make the wrong choices at the ballot box next year, and if we allow ethnic affiliation, rather than national interest, to determine our vote.
If we want impunity to end, maybe we should lock out everyone who was part of the current coalition government, and vote in a fresh, visionary, untainted candidate

SAFARICOM LIVE ELDORET...after party pictures

eldoret safaricom live party

The Niko na Safaricom Live Concert pitched camp in Eldoret last weekend, bringing ith t lots of fun, games and donations. Tony Mochama and Geoffrey Korio were there.Having done the road shows all week and rehearsing ad tedium parts of the nights, the Safaricom Live artistes relaxed on the penultimate day at the Hotel Sirikwa in Eldoret. And on Saturday, the caravan visited St Vicente De Paul School and shared their time with the mentally challenged pupils whom Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore said society should “embrace as our own, and not chain them and hide them away” (as he once observed in Thika).
The fun, games and donations of sports-and-games kit to the children was done under the deft stewardship of Zaheeda Suleman-Arain, career coach and mentor David Muriithi, Safaricom’s Patrick Mburu and Muthoni Muturi, and artistes Jimmi Gait, Sauti Sol’s Delvin and Baraza.Later, the troupe rolled to Hotel Noble for lunch where Safaricom’s Anne Nderi and Henry Njuguna kept all entertained, before folks returned to Hotel Sirikwa to prepare for the evening.
Party in the rain
The journey to the Eldoret Showground — the venue for the concert — had its fair share of troubles as a traffic jam caused delays. But the early partygoers did not falter as they trekked on muddy paths to get front row seats and mingle with their much-adored celebrities. Time was of the essence and the event got rolling at 8pm with emcee Squich welcoming the fans.
Come ten o’clock, the grounds were full; even the VIP section was sold out.
Sauti Sol, as always, were soulful and superb. Camp Mullah, the new kids on the block, are already performing like old skool stage veterans with swag, although not everyone in Eldoret felt them.
Home favourite Emmy Kosgei gave a performance that was one of the best — with her well-choreographed dancing troupe thrilling the crowds.
Jaguar, fresh off one of his a hundred-grand private charity giveaways earlier that day, was well received, as always, with his mega-hit Kigeugeu and its knock-off Matapeli.
Wahu, in a white outfit, wowed the Eldoret crowd with her energetic performance of her retinue of songs, from Still A Liar toI’ll Not Bow Down.
The most frenzied, frenetic, fast and furious performance of the evening, however, belonged to Jimmi Gait, who seemed hell-bent on bringing the thunder and showbiz lightning to the rainstorms of Eldoret.

ORENGO OBURU SUPREMACY BATTLE CONTINUES SHORTLY

By Evelyn Kwamboka
Lands Minister James Orengo held a peaceful rally at his political rival’s home turf in Bondo constituency, Siaya County .
Orengo maintained his stand that he will not step aside for Finance assistant minister Oburu Odinga in the race that has created division among MPs from the county. My people have maintained that I soldier on in this race. Those who think politics is not a serious task should ask those who have spent in police cells agitating for the rights of people,” he said.
He said it is the ODM delegates to decide in the nomination exercise on who will be their flag bearer in the race.
The supremacy on who to win the senator seat has seen MPs in the area form camps in a bid to support candidates of their choice.
Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo, Edwin Yinda of Alego Usonga and their Rangwe counterpart Martin Ogindo have since declared publicly their support for Orengo, saying it is the delegates to decide in the coming nomination.
Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo is in Oburu’s camp on grounds that he is best candidate because of his development record and being senior to Orengo.
At the Friday rally that attracted hundreds of people, Orengo told Oburu that he (Orengo) is the senior most politician in Luo land given the fact that he has been in parliament longer than all of them.
“By calling for this rally, I just wanted to show people how powerful I am in Bondo,” he said.
The decision to vie for the seat by the two is seen as a big challenge to the PM, who is facing a similar scenario in most areas where ODM has a bigger following.
“My vying for the same position with Oburu will not create a rift. I will continue supporting the party even if I lose in the nomination,” he said.
Orengo said they were meeting ODM representatives in counties to ensure there is harmony in the nomination process.

VILLAGE CHIEF DIES AFTER A MONTH LONG ERECTION

A village chief, Cuthbert Kasikai Majada died last week after his manhood remained erect for a month. The strange incident is said to have occurred after the chief was caught sleeping with his nephews wife.
After catching Kasikai with his wife, the nephew didn’t react but only told villagers that he will deal firmly with the chief.A few days later, Kasikai started getting erections that wouldn’t stop. He  started spending much of his time at home with his wife in bed for relief but he kept on getting erections barely an hour after making love to his wife. This continued for a whole month before concerned family members decided to take the chief to the hospital.
Sources also alleged that Kasikai was in the habit of sleeping with married women.
He died after a day in the hospital as baffled doctors could understand how to cure Kasikai’s  ailment.

ACCESS DENIED TO MAINA NJENGA TNA BID

TNA now says the latest battlefront in the race to state house may be a well orchestrated smear campaign against the party and its flagbearer, Uhuru Kenyatta. TNA is alleging that there are forces working to ruin its image by associating the party and its presidential hopeful with former mungiki leader Maina Njenga. TV ANCHOR IMPERSONATOR ARRESTED Kirigo Ngarua

Identity Thief Arrested

Citizen TV's news anchor Kirigo Ng'arua has been the latest victim of social media identity theft. David Kitheka Mutua, an IT specialist from Kangundo , had set up a Facebook page with the anchor's details, and was using it to ask for money from fans.
Kitheka was yesterday arrested by police following days of intense tracking. Incidentally, he was arrested at an mpesa shop withdrawing his loot.

Kitheka, on the fake Kirigo page, often posted the whereabouts of the journalist, to make it look real. On one post, the IT specialist wrote that 'she' was on her way to Isiolo to cover a particular story. The comments that followed showed that the fans were not suspecting a thing. This went on for a while, and on one occasion he asked for money from the fans claiming that 'her' mother was sick. Some how, Kitheka had registered for an mpesa account using Kirigo Ng'arua's name, making the mpesa transactions look legitimate to the donors.
Police estimate that he gained close to Sh 10,000 this way.

Kitheka later apologized to Kirigo claiming he is just another jobless man trying to make ends meet. He said that he returned from Uganda recently and currently had no job. According to him, he only needed Sh 18,000 to rent a servant quarter in Nairobi, and while there, he would tarmac. This is despite him living in a lodging in Kangundo.

Kirigo Ng'arua said she was alerted by her friends of this con artist, before she reported the matter to the police station. Kitheka was tracked down using mobile signals.

THEC MIGHTY UGANDAN KINGDOM

The images beamed to the world from the Libyan town of Sirte on October 20 last year were as horrific as they were grossly nauseating.
Former Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddaffi, who had survived a rebellion for almost a year, had finally been cornered by the armed wing of his opposition, the National Transitional Council, huddled in a culvert, terrified and waiting for the worst.
The worst did indeed happen, as the bloodied face of the ruler, which was beamed to the world, attested.
The man who had ruled Libya for nearly 41 years had been captured alive, but many say he was dead or critically injured within minutes.
Victory whoops followed his death throughout Libya and much of the world, which underpins the reality that the iron man may never be branded a hero or fondly remembered in many parts of the world.
But in the western Ugandan Kingdom of Tooro, Col Gaddaffi remains a treasured and respected statesman, an African leader who, even in death, is considered “a defender of the Kingdom”.
And it is easy to see why; the kingdom is ruled by a young monarch — King Oyo Nyimba Iguru Kabamba Rukidi IV — who grew up under Gaddafi’s patronage.
Inside the imposing Tooro palace atop Kabarole Hill, American journalist Andrew Green, who has been granted access, says a portrait of Gaddafi still dominates the reception.
Hung opposite the throne, it is an image of the Libyan leader in a triumphant pose, his fist raised to proclaim his power.
The image dwarfs the room’s other adornments: photographs of unsmiling former Toro kings, overstuffed furniture, and animal skins.
“The royal family is going to miss him quite a lot,” Phillip Winyi, the Kingdom’s foreign relations minister, told the Foreign Policy Magazine in June. The Gaddafis “were like another family” to them.
However, although Gaddafi is still revered in the Kingdom, some people in January removed his portrait from the palace and a plaque on one of the premises. The plaque, fixed on the Karuzika palace wall in Fort Portal in 2001, was inscribed with the words: “This foundation stone was laid by the Great Leader of the Revolutionary Socialist Libyan Arab People’s Jamahiriya, H E Col Muammar-Al-Gaddafi, on 14th JULY 2001.”
The relationship between the kingdom and the former Libyan leader started in 2000, when President Museveni introduced King Oyo during celebrations to mark Uganda’s Independence at Kololo on October 9 that year.
It is said Gaddafi was awestruck by the then nine-year-old king festooned in his regalia. He admired how the Batooro respected and treasured such a young leader.
Namara Arthur Araali, the Kingdom’s Minister of Information, says Gaddafi immediately invited King Oyo to Libya in early 2001.
In July of the same year, Gaddafi made his maiden visit to the kingdom, attracting so much pomp and security that, Oyo’s subjects recall, it was like “heaven coming to meet the earth”.
At time of the visit, the biggest project in the kingdom was the renovation of Karuzika (the palace), and Gaddafi, in his trademark exhibition of magnanimity, offered to fund the works.
The palace had been destroyed by Idi Amin’s soldiers, who had used it as their barracks in the 1970s.
The relationship between Gaddafi and the young King and his family blossomed. The Libyan ruler even offered to pay for the King’s sister’s education, and to build a hospital and a school for Oyo’s subjects.A plaque was affixed at the entrance to the palace, honouring the “great leader”, and the residents of Fort Portal took soon renamed the structure, either in jest or awe, “Gaddafi’s Palace”.
In turn, Gaddafi was bestowed by King Oyo with the title ‘Omujwara Kondo’ (Defender of the Kingdom), which is the highest honour in Tooro.
The only other outsider to receive the honour is President Museveni — for restoring kingdoms in 1993.
Since the founding of Tooro Kingdom in 1830, no other person had been given the honour.
“Tooro Kingdom was (Gaddafi’s) darling institution,” the magazine quotes Winyi as saying.
“Whatever he wanted done, he would use Tooro Kingdom to do it.” And indeed Gaddafi found the kingdom useful in his forays to East Africa.
He, for instance, used Tooro officials to help organise a meeting between him and other cultural leaders in Uganda and from across the East African region in Benghazi.
However, this move put the kingdom at loggerheads with the government. Although the organisers said the August 2008 conference was aimed at discussing the role of traditional rulers in modern Africa, political players saw this as Gaddafi’s plan to use the group to press African leaders who had rejected his call for a United Africa.
President Museveni, who had opposed Gaddafi’s call for a United States of Africa, saw the Tooro Kingdom’s championing of the African kings and sultans conference as a deviation from the purely cultural role that was agreed upon before its restoration.
The National Assembly was quickly looped in and a resolution was passed that all travel requests by the traditional leader must be made through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Because of these restrictions, neither the Benghazi nor the Kampala conference took place.
But in a 2008 forum with the kings, they gave Gaddafi the title “King of Kings”. The move might have annoyed the government, but it did not stop the love that had blossomed between the Tooro royals and Gaddafi.
The royalty and Oyo’s subjects closely followed the developments in Libya in 2011, and Queen Mother Kemigisa, who was the secretary general of the Forum for African Traditional Leaders, in an interview with Uganda’s Sunday Vision once described Gaddafi as a revolutionary and Pan-African leader who had done a lot to develop the continent.
She also appealed to other African heads of state to support Gaddafi in the war against the rebels. No one took heed, and Gaddafi ended up dead.
A year on, Tooro still feels the loss of “a dear friend and financier”. “The kingdom lost greatly,” says Joseph Mashubuku, a councillor in Kabarole. “There are things we shall always remember Gaddafi for, such as the renovation of the palace and other contributions. We were still expecting much from him,”
“Gaddafi had wanted to put up a school and a hospital here but, since his death, everything has stalled,” adds Moses Aliganyira, a businessman in Kyenjojo.
But while some subjects still mourn the loss, others feel it was only the royal family that benefited from the ties with Tripoli.
“The Kingdom of Tooro is for the few people who benefit; that is, the Queen Mother and her family. The death of Gaddafi is a loss to the royal family, not the Batooro,” Lillian Kanyunyuzi, a businesswoma

FORM 1 CSTUDENT SUSPENDED FOR SEDUCING SCHOOL MATRON... tihihihih kenya nayo.. maajabu tupu.

Form One student suspended for ‘seducing matron’

The suspension of the St Mary’s High School, Lushangonyi, student has irked his parents and received criticism from local education officials.Taita District Education Officer Samuel Nyantika termed the suspension illegal, saying the administration should have investigated before taking action.
“I cannot believe that a Form One student can be bold enough to demand sexual favours from a matron. The suspension is wrong,” Mr Nyantika told The Standard.
He said the boy’s parents complained that their son was being victimised by the school administration for no good reason. Nyantika said the parents accused the school of failing to investigate the matter.
The Principal, Laban Mwangeme, could not be reached for comment. “The principal is not in school as he is attending KCSE briefing in Voi town,” said a teacher, who declined to be named.
Meanwhile, students from Kenyatta National School in Mwatate have been sent home after they attempted to burn the institution.
Mwatate DEO Wellington Ongande said the students had been sent home to pave way for investigations.
“We have sent home other students apart from Form Fours who are sitting their national examination,” he said.

RAILA'S RUNNING MATE IS KALONZO MUSYOKA...

Kalonzo ally hints at alliance with Raila

The possibility of an alliance bringing together former political allies-turned-foes Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka was raised at a rally on Thursday. Read (VP Musyoka rules out pact talks with PM Odinga)
One of Mr Musyoka’s allies, Kangundo MP Johnstone Muthama, said the PM and VP should agree who among them should go for the presidency and who should be the running mate.
This is the latest of alliances that have been hinted at as the country approaches the March 4, 2013 General Election.
Last week, it was reported that International Criminal Court suspects Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto had agreed to contest the elections on a joint ticket with the latter as running mate.
This came shortly after reports that Mr Ruto had held talks with Mr Odinga over the possibility of leading his United Republican Party into an alliance with ODM.
Although Mr Odinga did not respond directly to the Wiper alliance suggestion, he was warmly welcomed in Tala and Kangundo Towns in Machakos County, the perceived stronghold of Mr Musyoka.
The PM declared that his presence in Kangundo with Mr Muthama was a “sign of things to come.”
“We have come a long way together and whenever we reach agreement things happen,” Mr Odinga said.
Mr Odinga called for unity of all the 42 tribes in Kenya and dismissed tribal coalitions being formed to win the elections.
Sources in both Mr Musyoka and Mr Odinga’s camps indicated talks had been ongoing for the two leaders to face the next elections as one.
Mr Muthama, the joint Government chief-whip, said Mr Odinga and Mr Musyoka should agree to work together.
He declared that the journey for Mr Odinga and Mr Musyoka had started at Kangundo and Tala.
His views were supported by Lands minister James Orengo, an Odinga ally, who claimed Mr Musyoka was being sidelined “the same way Mzee Kenyatta sidelined (a local Kangundo hero) Paul Ngei who helped him ascend to power.”Mr Muthama who said Mr Musyoka, who is on a visit to Israel, had asked Kangundo people to accord Mr Odinga a warm reception.
In an apparent reference to pact between TNA leader Uhuru Kenyatta and URP’s William Ruto to work together ahead of next elections, Mr Muthama said: “It is wrong for two communities to say they will unite because of their numbers to win the presidency.”
“We don’t want two people to sit in a house and decide who should be husband and wife,” the Kangundo MP said.
The chief whip said Thursday's meetings opened a new chapter between Wiper and ODM and that the VP and PM should now hold talks and decide on formula to use ahead of next polls.
He said only the blind and the deaf could not see the new political alliance between Wiper and ODM and could not predict where they were going.
“If the two (Odinga and Musyoka) work together, they will easily win. I had even warned them against splitting in last elections,” he said.
He said even if the two “walk on foot” they will get to State House but the presidency is only one slot which requires them to agree on a flag-bearer.
“We are in final moments of the game and we have to score goals through all means,” Mr Muthama said.
Former MP Kalembe Ndile said leadership should not return to Central Kenya next year and that locals should agree to support candidates from other regions.
“In 2002 Mr Odinga backed Kibaki but he was betrayed. Even me I was let down,” he said.
Industrialisation Minister Henry Kosgey called for unity of all Kenyans “as all the 42 tribes are equal.”
“No tribe or region is more equal than others. That is why I am in ODM,” he said.
Mr Kosgey said Kenyans should vote for Mr Odinga as he suffered for long fighting for justice, was detained for nine years and that he will ensure good health, education, roads and other infrastructure for all.
Mr Musyoka has in the past indicated that he was ready to form a coalition with any other party but not ODM.
Mr Odinga who had lunch at Mr Muthama’s home before addressing a rally at Tala and opening an ODM office said “we want to show unity of all Kenyans, all the 42 tribes including the El Molos.”
“I will never talk about two tribes uniting to ascend to power. All the 42 tribes including the El Molos are Kenyans. None is in the country because of invitation by the other,” he said.
Union between Mr Odinga and Musyoka could rekindle their former pact within the original ODM Kenya in the lead up to the last General Election.
Mr Musyoka has since rebranded his half of the Orange party as Wiper Democratic Movement.
But the two parted ways acrimoniously just before the party nominations with Mr Odinga heading to the splinter ODM.
Many of Mr Odinga’s allies have never forgiven Mr Musyoka for agreeing to work with President Kibaki’s PNU and becoming Vice President when ODM was challenging the presidential results in January 2008.
Mr Muthama said it is because of the parting of ways between Mr Odinga and Mr Musyoka that the country was divided and sprung into chaos in 2007.

IAN MBUGUA DISMISES UHURU AND RUTO

.. Yes,I have said it. Bite me!

No-nonsense Tusker Project Fame judge, Ian Mbugua has added his voice on the controversial Hague-election matter. In a statement on his Facebook page, Ian wrote,"In all fairness, certain candidates tainted by the PEV in any way have no moral right to vie for the Presidency . Yes, I have said it. Bite me!"

"Candidates tainted by PEV" certainly refer to deputy prime minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto, who are battling crimes against humanity charges at the ICC. His statement elicited mixed reaction from his fans, with some seconding him and others telling him off. A section of those who commented resulted to insults, with shallow or no arguments at all, as to why Uhuru and Ruto should be on the ballot.
One thing we learnt from the comments is that Kenyans still put tribe first and issues second. Those who strongly opposed Ian's remarks were from the two communities whose presidential candidates are on trial, while most of those supporting him fully were from the community where the other strong presidential candidate comes from.
Below are some of the comments.

Ian the voice of reason , kenyans should wake up and smell the coffee ,ths is our country , we love it and shld protect it from few individuals who thnk they own kenya

the icc process was bungled from the start hence the list is not totally inclusive-it doesnt require a judge to c this- thats why it doesnt interest me.

i think u r wrong how can judge somebody without a investgation ?wacha kuruka mbele ya drum

Ian mbuguua thats so true,BROTHER YOU SO REAL.

Only stupid, tribal en hypocrites wuldn't understand your status!,....en i second u on that Ian....i will vote 4any other person but Uhuru en Ruto!!...en if they win....atleast in two years time o' so al' be proud to say....'i tried not to vote them in'....bt one thing is 4sure, we wont be in harmony until the 1000plus lost lives get justice!... God help us all

such a pity that when people can't debate or argue their case they retort to insults. how immature! my respect to those who disagree with me and explain why. those abusing me, a ha ha:-) - Ian Mbugua

Despite the insults and the bitterness pple have about the truth, the fact remains we will be doomed if Uhuru or Ruto ascends to presidency, seems like most of us Kenyans do not have a clue of what sanctions mean bt will realize how bad the situation is when what they r advocating for comes to haunt them, when pple find themselves with the ugly realization that they cant export their products and thus they have no income thats when it will dawn on them that we r doomed coz our economy will leterally be going to the dogs, Zimbambwe is a case example, so please people do take Annan's plea, he is not interested in any seat bt his aim is to see a better Africa.

Kenyans cry when commodity prices skyrocket, I wonder what they'll do when sanctions will be imposed on them.
I wsh Uhuru n Ruto can back a neutral candidate 4 tha presidency 4 the sake of kenya.

I totally agree with u Ian and its sad some kenyans fail to be objective, see the bigger picture and worse still result to insults. Kenya is bigger than all of us

Ian politics is not TPF get it and let it sink in ur thick skull. UHURU for president ..........
That spirit that provokes you into insultin Ian becoz of this truth....is that spirit that killed our fellow country men during the PEV. Now: its likely to happen again because you are allowing it to dominate...if you lost ua brother...you will knw the pain...woe to you....

ian u r wrong!until proven guilty they r inocent!dont u know the 2 who caused PEV r cmftbly sitted in that hse?!.even if U n R will b proven guilty even God knows the other 2 were also involvd.umenibore sana if thats ur views, this is not tpf!we r following our constitution!

Based on the comments I c here it seems very clear to me that most of us will never change and even after PEV we have not learnt our lesson. I cry everyday remembering what most people went through, many innocent souls perished Yet we are still tribal. My tribe has never helped me in any way,it only makes me ashamed bcoz some people still judge me on tribal ground no matter the truth I say, I did not choose where to be born, God chose it for me so stop this tribal nonsense once and for all. I do not care where you come from and I will not stand and watch if anyone attack you. You are my brothers and my sisters from every part of this country. For your info it is only the poor who waste time fighting their brothers while the rich make more riches, wake up guyz and fight for what is right for Kenya. The devil is a lier so all of us must speak the truth and only the truth will save our country.

Mr Ian, u have shared my sentiments right there, those who want to bite, let them get a good grip before they bite!

Mr Ian, u have shared my sentiments right there, those who want to bite, let them get a good grip before they bite!
if u thought by being a judge in tpf gives u the right to raise ur voice n thnk that u are a judge of the highcourt, jst dnt mix showbiz n politics.it wont do u any good.

JAMES BOND IN KENYA....

Movie Premieres This Weekend

The 23rd James Bond movie, SKYFALL, is set to premiere in Kenya this Friday, October 26th, making Kenya the first country to view it, alongside the United Kingdom and other selected countries. Coca cola through its recently launched Coke Zero is behind this clever move.
However, if you have plans for the weekend, you'll be pleased to know that Heineken will be screening the same movie a day before. This they'll do throughout East Africa.

The Heineken event will be at IMAX, with the Coke Zero event at Fox Theaters, Sarit Centre. Both brands have developed a strong partnership with SKYFALL and have both created TV commercials around it.
Coca Cola Senior Brand Marketing Manager for Kenya, Catherine Mudachi said: "SKYFALL is without a doubt one of this year's most anticipated film releases, and we are very excited to be a part of it and to continue our relationship with the world's favorite movie franchise." Coca cola has partnered with James Bond since 2008.

On Monday, select members of the media were treated to an exclusive screening of the movie at the Sarit Centre Fox theaters. The event was sponsored by both  Coke Zero and Heineken. The 143 minutes movie was sandwiched between spectacular TV commercial by Heineken and Coke Zero. The Coca cola Zero commercial is particularly captivating and is one to look out for on a TV near you. It's campaign has been dubbed 'Coca Cola Zero Unlocks The 007 In You' and the ad surely rhymes with that.

In the movie, you should however not expect to see Bond sipping away a Coke Zero, and as Coca Cola puts it, their partnership with Bond is not the traditional product placement. However, Heineken decided to go the traditional way as James Bond will be seen enjoying a glass or two.

Sideshows aside, the movie is probably the best James Bond you'll ever watch, with lots of twists and less of the fiction some people complain about. This is one movie you should really watch. Preferably on a very large screen.

MIKE SONKO TO JOIN ODM,...season of defections....

Season of Defections

Makadara MP Mike Sonko has refused to deny reports by section of the media that he met Prime Minister Raila Odinga over a possible defection to ODM. The legislator said that it's indeed true that he met Raila, but he refused to state whether joining ODM was on the agenda.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Sonko wrote, "I don't deny meeting Raila Odinga he is our Prime Minister & i don't see anything wrong having a cup of tea with our leaders, like i do with any other person. I had a proposal for the youth which I was presenting to him."

It had been reported that Raila had on Sunday evening met Sonko and former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua at Serena for more than two hours, to try and woo them to his party. The legislator hinted to the Star newspaper that if 'everything goes well', they might find themselves dumping TNA. "Yes we have had a fruitful meeting with the PM. He told us that he is keen to work with youthful leaders. We have given him our proposal and if everything goes well, we may find ourselves out of TNA," He had also revealed that Raila suggested they have more meetings.

Sonko is fighting for TNA's nomination for Nairobi senate seat, and so is Beth Mugo. Reportedly, the Kenyatta family is pushing for Beth Mugo and that may explain why Sonko is warming up to ODM.

NAIROBI LADIES ...nkt.. nkt.... nkt

"The Nairobi woman does not need to see the size of your wallet to know if you are loving and caring enough to be her Friday Night date, she can smell legal tender even if it is 2kms away."

Almost 6 years of being in Nairobi I am a still in a culture shock; The Nairobi woman shocks me; she is not like the humble Jerutos I was used to in Eldoret. The Nairobi woman earns a salary of 10k yet stays in a bungalow worth 40k... you wonder how she raises the rent. She will always have flu yet she has no idea that KenKnit still makes sweaters that can keep her warm. Well, she made the petticoat go extinct and now she is working on eliminating the bra and she will complain that men are ogling at her breasts...though she is as broke as a mouse in Kibaki’s Statehouse, you will find her always at Java...where I come from ‘going out’ means going to the toilet at night but to the Nairobi woman it is galloping from one club to the other with her gang of equally confused girls... this woman shocks me.

Other women would be proud to share their bed with a child but this woman has a brood of ugly teddy bears named after her exes that she tells stories of her escapades ..’you see Johny, today this jamaa angaliad me and I angaliad him so we angaliad each other. Imagine’ This woman cares about her artificial hair more that she cares about her head...she would rather suffocate herself with a polythene bag than see water drop on her ‘weave’.. and when she goes to sleep, the stocking on her head makes mosquitoes think it is Halloween and they don’t need that woman in the Doom advert to do her tricks..This woman would tell you she is ‘watching her weight’ when she is watching the plate full of chips and half chicken that she is slowly throwing into her mouth at KFC ...The Nairobi woman would rather quench her thirst with Smirnoff than cold water..and she does not feel hungry ,she gets a craving. This craving at times makes her think ice cream is a meal...

She has this phone that is ‘self –contained’ but she cannot afford airtime..and when one of her sweeties sambazas airtime she calls her gang of girls to tell them how ‘Alehandro’ cried in the Citizen TV soap and they do their ‘aki woiyees’ together ..she shocks me when updating her status is not climbing the social ladder to become a more respectable woman whom a man of my good up bringing can wish to call ‘Mama Boyi’ but means changing her relationship status on Facebook from ‘in an open relationship’ to ‘single’ because Johny forgot that it was the anniversary of when he bought her a teddy bear...

The Nairobi woman loves pain, she loves to be pricked, you will find her face with many rivets, screws and bolts that she calls earrings, nose rings, eyebrow rings, tongue rings, lip rings etc and she complains of violence against women while she violates herself. You may think she loves rings but try to put a wedding ring on her finger and her gang of girls will make her disappear without a trace...The Nairobi woman does not need to see the size of your wallet to know if you are loving and caring enough to be her Friday Night date, she can smell legal tender even if it is 2kms away. She will make you pay for a 5K ticket to take her to watch Tarrus Riley yet the crowd would be so huge that you will not see him and you can buy his one song album at just 50 bob or better get it from your friend’s computer...

6 years and truly I need a millennium to learn that this is Shantal Michelle and not Abiscondita Tsiaukhorekhukholelokho, the girl who migrated from our village to come to Nairobi for a BA degree in P.E at one of the Universities.

ICC DENIED CRUCIAL EVIDENCE by the govt. of kenya

ICC detectives denied access to crucial evidence, says Bensouda

Attempts by the International Criminal Court to firm up its crimes against humanity cases involving four Kenyans have been frustrated by the government, it has emerged.
Sources said ICC investigators had been denied information on the assets of the suspects and medical and police records on victims of the crimes.
Four Kenyans — deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North MP William Ruto, former Public Service head Francis Muthaura and radio journalist Joshua arap Sang have been indicted by The Hague-based court over the 2007 election chaos.
Some 1,133 Kenyans were killed and nearly 600,000 displaced from their homes during the chaos sparked by disputed presidential election results.
On Tuesday, ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda held a series of meetings with government officials, including President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga, during which she expressed concern at the frustrations her investigators were being subjected to.
Sources said Ms Bensouda complained that the government was yet to give her team access to wealth records of the four suspects, and medical and police records of the victims.
The records are held by hospitals and police stations in the areas hard hit by the violence.
It is understood that the Harambee House meeting, also attended by members of the Cabinet sub-committee handling The Hague affairs, resolved to help in acquiring the information.
The committee members include Internal Security Minister Katoo ole Metito, Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Ongeri, Fisheries Minister Amason Kingi, Lands Minister James Orengo, Justice Minister Eugene Wamalwa and Attorney-General Githu Muigai.
Ministers Metito, Ongeri and Wamalwa are allies of Mr Kenyatta.
This week, Mr Wamalwa accompanied Mr Kenyatta on a visit to Tanzania to lobby for the ICC suspect to be allowed to contest the presidency. (READ: Kikwete urges Kenyans to unite ahead of polls)
Acting Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia, permanent secretaries Mohamed Isahakia (Office of the PM) and Mutea Iringo (Internal Security) also attended Tuesday’s meeting.
Ministers at the meeting but who sought anonymity said Ms Bensouda said the information she was seeking was crucial to the prosecution’s preparations for the trials set to start on April 10 and April 11 for the two cases.
The trial proceedings for Mr Ruto and Mr Sang will start on April 10 while those of Mr Kenyatta and Mr Muthaura commence on April 11.
Sources in the Cabinet sub-committee meeting said Ms Bensouda said her team was racing against time to acquire the information.
Information about the wealth and assets of the suspects will help the prosecutor to prove whether some of the suspects, especially Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto financed the killer gangs during the chaos.
Sources said Ms Bensouda sought permission for her investigators to visit hospitals and health centres in Naivasha, Nakuru, Eldoret, and Kisumu to access records of people who were treated for rape, torture and forced circumcision to tighten her evidence on charges of rape, torture and inhumane acts.
