Coordinator of AIDS Control Programme in Geita District, Masinde Patrisia, told The Citizen yesterday that in the period between January and November this year, 31 people lost their lives due to the disease so far not found a cure.He said the men are part of the 131, who were admitted in health centers receiving service.
Masinde said the number of AIDS deaths has followed some in the district during the same period, increased by two percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the coordinator, in the same period last year, the people who lost their lives to the disease were 16.
For its part, the Coordinator of the Division of AIDS Treatment in Geita District, Dk.John Gosha said the deaths are due to some of the patients who go to the grandfather of Loliondo and get a cup of medicine, stop taking tablets kuvumbaza virus.
