THE ATTACK ON RAILA IN EMBU TODAY MUST BE CONDEMNED KENYA NI MOJA LET ANYONE SELL HIS|HER IDEAS PEACEFULLY WITHOUT INTIMIDATIONS.

Friday February 15, 2013 - Reports reaching our news desk indicate that Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has had a hard time selling his ideas in Embu and at one point had stones hurled towards his entourage at a rally in the Upper Eastern, town.

Raila was addressing a rally in Embu town where he attacked Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s track record, saying he cannot be trusted on implementing land reforms since he is a beneficiary of massive land grabbing during the previous regime.

At first the crowd who had gathered for the rally booed him and heckled him but as he continued with verbal attacks on Uhuru, the crowd became hostile and began pelting small stones at the dias where the PM was sitting.

Commotion and confusion rocked the rally where the PM’s elite guards were forced to do an extra work to protect the PM from the wrath of the public.
