About Victoria Kimani, Nigeria's Latest Kenyan Signing
Victoria Kimani, a US-based Kenyan artiste has been signed by Nigeria's Chocolate City Records.
The singer got signed after she got Audu Maikori, Chocolate City founder and CEO, interested after she posted a remix of Ice Prince's Oleku online in August last year.
Victoria Kimani who is rapper Bamboo and Kimya's sister was born in LA and lived in Nigeria as a teenager before moving to Kenya, just after she started recording and performing.
She has featured on the Diplomatic Immunity mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid when she was signed to NBA star, Ron Artest's record label when she was part of the Club Embassy duo. The track got more than 250,000 downloads.
Besides her brothers, she has featured in tracks with Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Mario Winans, Cassie, Lloyd, Chris Brown, Timbaland and members of Konvict Music. At Chocolate City, she shares the label with such artistes as M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, BrymO, DJ Caise, Pryse and Nosa.
