PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT, TWO RADIO HOSTS AWARDED MEDALS BY GAYS IN NAIROBI

Two celebrated radio presenters, an award-winning musician and a number of TV personalities were among scores of public personalities who were feted during the inaugural gay awards held in Nairobi over the weekend.

It was the first bold public move by the radio host who, for years, has been said to be gay. He attended the function with his lover, a man of foreign origin, who is always by his side.

Also present at the function was a politician, a presidential hopeful, who is also allegedly gay.

The ceremony aimed at awarding lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexual, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) individuals for their contributions to the Kenyan society.

It also featured media personalities and institutions which have been supporting and protection the gay movement and their rights.

The awards scheme was supported by the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) and the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC).
