E-Sir died in a road accident on March 16, 2003, while in the company of fellow label mate Nameless. They were on their way back to Nairobi after a concert in Nakuru Town where they had gone to promote his then new album. His death came as a shock to his family, friends and fans. He however left us with tunes that never grow old, we still jam to them as if they have just been released.
